Serving Christ with our time, talents and treasures

Matthew 25:21

“Well done, good and faithful servant!  You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.  Come and share your master’s happiness!” (NIV)

Mount Ranier

In the Old Testament, Abraham was blessed to be a blessing.  In the 25th chapter of Matthew, Jesus encourages us to be good stewards.  It’s quite clear that we have been placed in this place, at this time to be blessing to others.  We are called to use the time, talents and treasures that God has given us to make a difference in the lives of others.

The problem in life, however, is that there never seems to be enough time, enough money, or enough ability to get beyond our own struggles.  As a society we are too busy, hopelessly in debt, and starving for true Christian community.  When we are liberated from these chains, we can more readily and joyfully bless others.  If you have been a lousy steward like me, don’t lose hope.  God is not done with us yet.  We are all a work in progress.

The purpose of FreedUp2Serve.com is to provide encouragement, inspiration, information, and practical tools for your journey toward better stewardship.  You will find resources to help you make the most out of your God-given time, talents, and treasures.  May you be blessed on your journey and one day hear Jesus’ words, “Well done, good and faithful servant!  You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.  Come and share your master’s happiness!” (Matthew 25:21 NIV)
