In
the Old Testament, Abraham was blessed to be a blessing. In the 25th chapter of Matthew, Jesus
encourages us to be good stewards. It’s quite clear that we have been placed in this place, at this
time to be blessing to others. We are called to use the time, talents and treasures that God has given
us to make a difference in the lives of others.
The problem in life, however, is that there never seems to be enough time,
enough money, or enough ability to get beyond our own struggles. As a society we are too busy, hopelessly
in debt, and starving for true Christian community. When we are liberated from these chains, we can more
readily and joyfully bless others. If you have been a lousy steward like me, don’t lose hope.
God is not done with us yet. We are all a work in progress.
The purpose of FreedUp2Serve.com is to provide encouragement, inspiration,
